Yes, I aid people in enhancing their lives. But I find that when people are trying to improve themselves I'm fighting to help them to love who they already are. It's quite the battle I'll have you know.
Think about this logically. If I want to improve upon "self" wouldn't that mean that I want to CHANGE who I am? When I change (or don't fully accept) who I am I try to cut off and block parts of me. When I do this I feel sluggish and tired and that life kind of sucks.
My simple slap in the face for the soul is this, "Do you want to feel that life sucks?" If yes, continue to trying down the road of "self improvement" (aka: change yourself). If no, begin to accept your true nature - warts and all.
